Many states have State Minimum Requirements for Car Insurance Liability limits. In Connecticut, you are required to have liability car insurance at the following minimum limits: $25,000 for bodily injury, per person per accident. $50,000 for bodily injury, total per accident. $25,000 for property damage per accident.
These limits don’t even come close to covering a major accident – especially the bodily injury. If you are at fault and total another person’s $100K sports car with the above limits, guess who has to make up the difference. YOU.
Don’t Skimp. We like to say we save people $300,000 on their car insurance each time we bump up their liability limits. When that accident happens and you are properly covered, you’ll thank us. 🙂 We hope it doesn’t happen to you, but that’s what insurance is for. Protecting against the “What Ifs” in life.
