Robert J. Lesko, CPIA, CWCS - Account Executive, Commercial Lines
After a 15 year career with a Defense Contractor working on military programs I decided it was time to join my wife Loretta in the family business here at DiMatteo in 1986. It was the perfect move, and I’ve never looked back!
What makes us different? At the heart of what we do is helping others and we do it with a positive attitude – always. There are tough days as with any small business, but our team – our family – pulls together. We help each other, we help our clients, and that philosophy has been the backbone of the company for almost 60 years when my in-laws founded it.
We also believe strongly in giving back to the communities in which we work, live, and play. Outside of the office, I’m a Board Member for several non-profits: the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley, the Valley Community Foundation, United Methodist Homes, and has recently been elected to serve as Chairman of the Board for the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce as well as dedicating time to the DiMatteo Charitable Family Foundation that was created to honor my father in law, Tony DiMatteo.
Most importantly, I save time for family, friends, prayer, making a fabulous meal in the kitchen – or on the grill – and then putting in some serious exercise after. Loretta and I enjoy traveling and exploring new places when not in the office.
Rob graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Business Administration.
